Boston Court Pasadena in Pasadena, California seeks its next Executive Director to partner with Artistic Director Jessica Kubzansky in leading a company that American Theatre magazine described as a “small but powerful theatre in Pasadena [that] has become a national new-play force.” Marking its 20th Anniversary in 2023, Boston Court is an intimate performing arts center that has much to celebrate: a history of adventurous, boundary-breaking theatre productions; richly eclectic music programming featuring some of the most exciting contemporary artists, rotating visual art, and a state of the art and welcoming home situated in one of southern California’s most diverse and desirable cities.
Boston Court recently developed a new strategic plan to reinvigorate the company’s mission, vision and values and articulates a strategy for the next three to five years that will set the stage for Boston Court to invest deeply in its mission, act on its values, and deepen its role as central to the cultural life of Pasadena, the San Gabriel Valley, and the Greater Los Angeles region. The next Executive Director will be the leader of this initiative, and join Kubzansky as a partner in guiding the board and staff in implementing the plan while also providing leadership in support of the immediate needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will share the passion and the vision for the future of Boston Court, be excited by the opportunity to advance a respected small organization to the next level, and will bring the skills and experience necessary to build the financial foundation to support the vision in the coming years.
