Christine (O’Connell) Long

Christine (O’Connell) Long joined the TOCG team in 2021 as Executive Assistant and has worked closely with President Tom O’Connor and the VP team on building administrative systems as the TOCG team has grown, as well as serving as project coordinator on both strategic planning projects and search engagements. She is a New York-based arts administrator with a background in Company Management and theater administration.
She previously served as the Assistant Company Manager on the new Broadway musical SING STREET and the 2019 Tony Award winning Broadway revival of Rodger and Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA!. She served as the General Management Assistant at Manhattan Theatre Club for three years, where she worked with the general management staff on over 20 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. She has previously held positions in company management and theater administration at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, Boston Center for the Arts, and Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre.
In addition to her love of the arts, Christine has a passion for customer service and the hospitality industry and has worked in restaurants, cafes, ski lodges, and farm stands in Boston, Utah, Rhode Island, and New York City. She also dabbles in Digital Marketing and has been the Social Media Manager for an Italian restaurant, Polpette 71, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for five years, during which time she more than doubled their Instagram and Facebook following, while getting to post many-a-food pun.
Christine received her undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts/Stage Management and Political Science from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and has completed Digital Marketing coursework at The New School in New York City. When she is not working, she can be found attending Broadway musicals, running along the Hudson River, or trying out new cookie recipes.

What is something about you that people would be surprised to learn? My biggest regret in life is that I'll never be an Olympic Athlete
What's one thing in your home office that is unusual? I have a minion-shaped (from Despicable Me) stress ball on my desk
What is your favorite snack during the work day? Annie's Mac & Cheese (specifically the purple box)
